Happy Birthday America!

This post is dedicated to AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL... I miss you!

Chocolate café at Lucca Cafe! This is where Natalie and I studied for a few hours and listened to a local man sing at the table right next to us :)

Sista Natalie studying her portuguese :) We are such good students - nothing new there!

Strawberry Caipirinhas at Mustang Sally's Fine Burgers restaurant in Curitiba down the street from our apartment! We ordered the RED bebidas in honor of America's Birthday, obviously :) RED, WHITE AND BLUE!!!!!!!

Mais red bebidas! Papai and me :) Love you America.

Love you Dad!

Update-
We are doing really well. A lot better than 3 weeks ago. I love going to class. Love it. Even though it's really difficult speaking "baby" portuguese for 3 hours... here at Berlitz we are surrounded by people our age! It's awesome. Seriously, my favorite time of day here is 10-1pm. Which I would just like to remind everyone... we are DONE, that's right, completely DONE with school at 1pm here, and it's only 9am Arizona time. So ridiculous.

We went and visited a dance studio here yesterday! It's like one block away from our apartment. Best day yet. The owner, Luana, is 26 and awesome, she's even been to Broadway Dance Center in NY, and she speaks really good English! We are looking to set up Master Classes at her studio already! She wants us to do two workshops Aug 13th and 14th with her company girls! So maybe teaching internationally! It's awesome. I'll post more on this later when I have more information! 'Til the workshops we will be able to take any classes at her studio we would like, I think that's what the final proposal will be... so we'll be taking SAMBA!!! Excited to learn! The first Samba class is this friday night :) Also, she invited us to the TAP JAZZ BRASIL festival on Saturday night, and we'll be going with her all the company girls. So we are making friends!!!! Everyone at the studio was SO WELCOMING and loved having us there.

Still doing our best with responding in Portuguese, it's kind of brutal watching us TRY, lol, but we are understanding a lot! We understand a whole heaping lot more than we can speak! Everyone paints really good pictures visually for us with their hands, objects, and by simply by ACTING. Gotta love theater. So, we are learning. Slowly. And everyone is very nice and very understanding. It's beautiful. I thank God everyday for bringing such understanding people into my life!

To all my friends, who I miss so much, I miss you more and more everyday and I hope you are enjoying these posts... when you have time to read them. I think about you all everyday and can't wait to teach you this language, that I am falling in love with more and more, each day!
